As summer arrives in Ann Arbor, so does the Top of the Park (TOP).
TOP is like a big block party held on UM campus every night for three weeks with lots of food, interesting bands with space for dancing, movies during the week - and fabulous people watching!
TOP started this weekend, so James and I headed [...]

Maybe I was too nice at the front desk yesterday…
My hotel balcony overlooks the construction of a new pool area. (Lucky me!)
The photos on the fence look quite nice. Too bad the real thing isn’t as quiet as the photo!
Being only on the 4th floor, I can hear every jackhammer, every back up warning bell [...]

This morning (Sunday) around 6:00 AM, I pulled out of my driveway to goto a Jr. League volunteer commitment.

From 6:30 - 8:30 AM, I was on the registration team for the For Women Only 5K. The race benefited the local Girls on the Run program which teaches girls about healthy living.

After a very busy week and weekend, James and I decided to sit outside on the porch to catch some fresh air while working.
As we hashed through a variety of topics, I stopped for a moment to look out and take in our yard. To my surprise, what I saw was gorgeous!
The grass was freshly [...]

Do you ever get emails that just take you back?
I got one this morning. The subject was “Help Rescue Me From Retirement.”
I’m not sure if I’m extra grumpy this morning - or if the approach just really hits my nerve…
The email was from a 54 year old guy who wanted me to hire him. He [...]

Do you ever wonder if the project you start today can really make a difference?
Wonder no more…
Drop everything, fly to Tampa - and check out the Saturday Morning Market in nearby St. Petersburg.
In 2002, a small group of people wanted to create a sense of community in downtown St. Petersburg. They decided to start a [...]
