Yeah!
Today I got up early to cook.
I made protein-packed, cherry-almond oatmeal.
And pumpkin protein bars.
All before 8 AM!
Just came off three days on the road.
My food stash was depleted.
I had a date with Mollie, my trainer, at noon.
Wanted to be able to eat properly to prepare.
What a difference in my workout!
I rowed with 70 pounds.
Swung a [...]

So fun!
Yesterday James and I saw The Full Monty.
Presented by Michigan’s Musical Theatre Department.
It was the perfect way to spend a gloomy afternoon.
Or even a sunny one!
James and I loved it.
We have not laughed so much in a long time.
It felt almost like a Broadway show.
Plus they hooked us emotionally by involving us.
From the moment [...]

Results?
Looks like I am the classic shoemaker.
Makes gorgeous shoes for everyone else.
Own children go barefoot.
Can’t believe I got suckered in.
I have been very excited about my Lazy Leader Road Show.
The Lazy Leader approach is getting fab results for chapter leaders.
Even surpluses of volunteers.
So I ran with it.
I’m doing a series of public workshops this [...]

Nice.
Attended NSA’s UNconference.
They tried a lot of new things.
By topic.
And format.
My favorite was the social media intensive-track day.
Started with a big-picture strategic planning session for all.
Each breakout covered a different platform.
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and more.
The breakouts were the cool part.
Each time slot covered same topic.
With two choices based on skill level.
Yellow belt or black [...]

Yesterday James and I sat on our front porch.
It was mid-afternoon.
We were catching up on my week on the road.
I wore pink-flowered lounge pants.
Raindrop was on the grass in front of us.
Started to chase a bee.
I yelled at her to leave it alone.
Wrong move.
The bee heard my voice and [...]

Did you?
Monday night I watched the Teen Choice Awards.
I like many who performed.
Wanted to see Katy Perry and the guys of GLEE emcee.
And sneak a peak at an ultimate teen event.
The show was fun to watch.
Tons of energy.
Fast acts with lots of diversity.
Something for everyone.
The show was all about the teens.
No long speeches thanking [...]

Do you trust me?
My answer?
No.
I like you lots.
And it’s still no.
Got a promotion today for a conference.
The focus is something I might be interested in.
The registration fee about $1,000.
Probably $2,000 with travel.
I go to the site for details and find only program titles.
Some are sort of snappy, but…
No speakers identified.
No learning objectives.
How am I [...]

To the game.
This weekend James and I attended the Michigan Women’s Basketball game.
We catch the games when we can.
To support women’s sports.
And take in the experience - and what an experience it was!
I’m not sure which I enjoyed more…
The game.
(Won with less than a minute to go!)
Or the other stuff in between.
Michigan was very [...]
