5 AM that is.
It was day six on the road.
Work was done.
I was tired.
Eager to go home.
My flight was departing at 9:30 AM the next day.
The front desk said I needed to leave at 7 AM.
Just in case of traffic.
And to make it through security.
I did the math as I set my phone alarm [...]

Hey!
Today I participated in a volunteer conference call.
We were working on an exciting project.
Was fun to be part of the creation team.
Can’t wait to share with the world.
After the meeting I sent the leader an email.
Had some more thoughts.
And feedback on the meeting.
It was a happy email.
Almost immediately I got a response.
My email [...]

Who needs sleep?
Last night, a little after midnight he struck.
Drunken chortling.
Combined with garbage bin being dragged.
Woke me from a dead sleep.
By the time I could see out the window he was gone.
And our garbage bin was in the middle of the street.
A sitting target.
For middle-of-the-night drivers.
James thought he was dumpster diving.
Did I put anything sensitive [...]

Twins, no.
We have two dogs.
Raindrop who is almost seven years old.
GiGi who is almost nine months.
Both are chugs - chihuahua/pugs.
Lately something strange has been going on.
If I call GiGi, Raindrop comes running.
If I call Raindrop, GiGi comes.
It’s sort of amusing.
Are they trying to play the identical twin game?
Switching names.
Faking people out.
As if we can’t tell [...]

Started out blue.
Today I got weighed in by my trainer Mollie.
We’ve been working together a little over three months.
She likes to do a monthly check.
Gives Mollie feedback - and me too.
I was down a total of 24.5 pounds.
Whoopee.
Sort of disappointing.
I had fantasies of so much more.
Mollie didn’t like my lack of celebration.
She reminded me [...]

Oh what a night!
Plateau has been my middle name.
For a few weeks.
Weight just lingered.
My enthusiasm getting dimmer.
It was time to shake things up.
So last night I attended a dance class at my gym.
Cardio dance fusion.
Latin plus hip hop.
I was nervous.
Would I make it through the hour?
Avoid major damage?
Be able to walk to my [...]

And ignored it.
Went to lunch with a friend.
Celebrating my birthday.
In Sacramento.
Great food and conversation.
Walked out wondering where my phone was.
My normal rhythm was off due to travel.
We figured it was in my car.
In the parking lot where I was staying.
Let go the worry.
Nothing I could do.
Toured the area with my friend.
Had a fun [...]

Just saying.
Today I rented a car.
Used the company I usually use.
Everything was going well.
Until we closed our conversation.
I asked for a map of the area.
The sales guy told me they didn’t have any.
I told him I needed a map.
He told me to rent a Garmin.
Garmins are lovely tools.
I have many friends who use [...]
