That’s Not Me!

   Or is it?
Raindrop is a cool dog.

She’s a people dog.
Would rather hang with us than play with dogs.
It’s just the way she is - or is it?

Today we dropped Raindrop and GiGi at a doggy daycare.

We want GiGi (our puppy) more socialized.
And better trained.
Raindrop could use some refreshers.

The girls did the qualifying visit earlier [...]

Loved the Call

   Felt the love.
Recently I had to pay for a service using PayPal.

It was a pretty big amount.
Wondered about security.
Felt buyer’s regret after pressing send.

A few minutes later the phone rang.

It was Paypal.
They noticed the big sale amount.
Verified I approved.

Boy did I.

I loved how PayPal looked out for me.
Reframed how I viewed them.
Felt relieved.

Makes me [...]

A Ghost on the Second Floor

   Was it possible?
This past weekend James was at his state swim meet.

I was home by myself.
For three days and two nights.
With only the dogs.

The first night I wondered…

A light flashed as I walked up the steps.
When I got to the second floor - nothing.
No lamps or computers on.

The light must have been outside.

Reflecting in the [...]

Raindrop Snatched the Glory

Out of GiGi’s mouth - literally.
Raindrop is my 6.5 year old dog.

Her favorite toy is a Gatorade bottle filled with kibble.
She twists the tops off.
And loves the extra treats.

Enter GiGi the puppy.

Who does things differently than Raindrop.
GiGi does not twist tops off.
She chews through them until they release!

At first Raindrop was territorial.

Raindrop would not let GiGi near [...]

You Are Not My Mother

   No need for lectures!
Just called the headquarters of an organization.

I have been a member for years.
A local leader.
And good member - not a pain in the you know where.

I had an idea I thought could help.

Was willing to invest some time.
Give a big boost up.
Make a difference in a cool way.

The senior staff who answered [...]

Inspiration in the Sky

   Almost
My body was complaining.

It was the day after Mollie.
I was at the gym.
Getting started on my elliptical.

Muscles ached as I warmed up.

I hoped I could work through it.
The TVs were not distracting enough.
Then I saw him.

Walking the track on the second floor.

An older gentleman.
One foot in front of the other.
Followed closely behind by his aide [...]

The Moon Over St. Louis

   Was almost me.
I had some technical challenges this last trip.

With my clothes.
They aren’t keeping up with my working out.
And are a touch big.

Okay, maybe more than a touch.

But it feels sort of good.
To know they used to be a firm fit.
And now are looser.

Except when I almost mooned everyone on the plane.

I got up.
My pants [...]

Not My Proudest Moment

I questioned the effort.
It was a long day.

Good, but long.
The debut of my road show - 3-hour workshop.
Then lunch and feedback with a friend.

My mind hurt.

Dinner loomed.
No restaurant at the hotel.
Carryout menus in my hand.

Eating healthy on the road is hard.

All I wanted was something simple.
Options didn’t look promising.
What to do?

I started to debate [...]
