Leave me alone - please.
Flying to Florida I was upgraded.
Got to my seat.
On the aisle.
Started settling in.
Then SHE arrived.
Insisted i didn’t need to get up.
She could get by me.
Before I could stand up she crawled over - with all her stuff.
Things went downhill from there.
Who left a bottle of water at her chair?
Can she [...]

UGH.
For several months I’ve been more health-focused.
Working out with a trainer.
Logging hours on an elliptical machine.
Eating clean.
Or so I thought…
The great mystery?
I wasn’t losing weight.
How was that possible?
This weekend I got new insights.
Played with an online food log program.
Learned my baseline calorie count.
And what I need to do to lose weight.
Got my eyes opened!
My [...]

For beds.
I’m at a hotel this week.
Designed for business travelers.
Affordable.
Free breakfast.
Room is okay.
Pretty standard.
Looks like they did a recent upgrade.
On the bed.
It looks fancy.
Mattress is very tall.
I’m 5′7′.
Have to climb on.
What’s the problem?
I almost roll out of bed at least twice per night.
The plush top is bigger than the base.
Creating a wicked hill to [...]

For me!
Just had my session with my trainer Joy.
Two days ago, I did 6.0 pull ups - with a break in the middle.
Today I was trying a new approach.
Joy’s goal for me was 6.0 pull ups with no breaks.
I had walked into the gym a mess.
Major headache.
Stress overload.
(Had toyed with calling the appointment off…)
I warmed up.
Joy [...]

It’s been a while.
Joy, my trainer, decided I needed to do pull ups.
Back in July.
The assisted kind.
I’m pulling up about 100 pounds.
My record had been 3.5 pull ups.
For a while.
Flu set me back in August.
Progress was slow and I felt like a loser.
Today, I did better - much.
I did SIX pull ups.
With no extra help [...]

Huh?
Last week I joined a new association.
Worked through some expectation issues.
About how quickly my welcome should arrive.
They did okay.
Now what?
I got my password to their site.
Encouragement to explore.
And it wasn’t enough - because there was too much.
Too much = work for me!
I wanted a guide.
Easy steps to explore my new membership.
Not to waste time [...]

Time is ticking.
I just joined a professional association.
It’s new to me.
But been around for years.
It’s an anchor in the industry.
I filled out the application online.
Told them how to contact me.
Gave them my credit card number.
And nothing!
It’s been 15 minutes.
Where’s my email greeting?
Welcoming me to the association.
Giving me tips to jump in.
If not a welcome, at [...]

As Queen of Bugs
I don’t know what’s with me this summer.
I am major bug bait.
You name the bug.
They try to bite me.
I walk outside…
Bugs fly 50 miles in two minutes flat.
To suck my blood.
(Who needs Team Edward and Twilight?)
Today the bugs got more aggressive.
Started dive bombing me.
One even got in my eye!
(It was so [...]
