Might wear jeans?
Fashion police have invaded chapter meetings.
Interestingly I’m not even talking jeans.
A woman wearing biz casual pants.
Black, slim cut with nice top.
Got caught by the chapter fashion police.
Put on warning for looking unprofessional.
Needed to dress better for chapter events.
(Lovely to be judged so brazenly.)
Let’s do a reality check…
The meeting was on a Saturday.
(Not [...]

What were they thinking?
My hotel room has a flat screen TV.
It’s centered in a pretty wood frame.
A few inches thick.
Located directly across from the bed.
A king-sized bed takes up half the room.
The other half is a living room.
Couch, chair and coffee table.
A nice setting to watch TV.
There’s just one problem.
You can’t see the TV easily.
It no [...]

Raindrop here.
I think I’ve got Mom and Dad almost trained.
It took long enough.
They were slow to catch on.
And sometimes ignored me.
They expect me to come when called.
I expect to get what I want.
I flash them a grin with all my teeth.
And wait with great hopes.
Dad is more sensitive.
He picks up on my manipulative attempts.
And [...]

My trainer.
Yesterday was my first training session with Joy.
I was NERVOUS!
Would I survive Joy?
Would I be able to walk to my car?
Joy is an interesting person.
At first meeting, she’s a lovely woman.
On the gym floor it’s a different story.
She’s sneaky.
Joy had me doing all sorts of new exercises.
With light weights.
No massive burning of muscle.
Maybe [...]

Props to ASAE.
Friday afternoon I tried to book a hotel room for ASAE’s annual meeting.
I scoped the hotels.
Made my selection.
Pressed the button.
And was blocked by Monday night.
The room was available all nights - but one.
In the middle of the meeting.
UGH. What was going on?
I sent an email to my person at ASAE.
You know, the one I [...]

I’m meeting a trainer.
As you know I’ve kicked up the fitness effort.
Aching as I walk.
Debating about throwing away my scale.
(I’m leaning towards doing it!)
Today I meet with my trainer.
For a fitness assessment.
Mahahahaha!
I already told her I’d flunk it all.
Taking this step has made me think a lot.
What do I want from this?
Why am I investing [...]

Perhaps.
As you know I’ve started a new fitness routine.
Joined a new gym.
Actually going to it.
Feeling sore muscles.
I wanted to lose 37# my first two weeks.
Didn’t happen.
I didn’t even lose five!
Totally disappointed.
My Facebook friends have been very supportive.
Cheering me on.
Keeping perspective.
Offering advice.
A few friends suggested I throw out my scale.
Or at least hide it.
In a box [...]

I’m easy today.
Drove back from Pinehurst to RDU.
Dropped my car at Enterprise.
Usually a no-brainer.
This time got tripped up.
Somehow they thought I had a mini-van.
Instead of a cute little blue car.
Ahh computers.
Let the challenge begin!
A new system tested their skills.
They were apologetic.
And kept bringing in more folks to help.
They worried about my wait.
I was pretty laid back.
I [...]
