I Almost Got Sick

Just listening.
Today I was put on hold by a major corporation.
- 20 plus minutes.
- For a simple request.
- (But that’s beside the point.)
The hold music got me bad.
- A heavy beat.
- Combined with sonic scales.
- Blasting in my ears.
My stomach followed it up and down and up and down...
- Had a gut reaction to the music.
- And almost got sick.
- Talk about a lasting impression!
I wonder who selected the music.
- Did they have others listen?
- Am I the only one who reacted this way?
- Does it matter?
It was a sign from the universe - reinforced my decision to terminate their service
Makes me think of chapter leaders…how do you check for unintended consequences when making decisions?
