Two Minutes for Inspiration?
Posted on October 5th, 2009 by Cynthia D'Amour
On Friday, I attended the California Society of Association Executives lunch.
- I’m facilitating their Insights 2010 program this February.
- Focus will be on transformation.
- For experienced executives.
We decided to do a little promo since I was in town.
- Had two minutes.
- Described the experience and take-aways.
- Gave them a sample of Cynthia live.
Walking out two women approached me.
- Said I changed their lives.
- With my little talk.
- Their culture did not support strong women.
Women raise children.
- Being a professional went against core values.
- Hard to believe in themselves.
- Seeing me (a powerful woman) in action made believing easier.
A touching reminder every minute has potential to matter.
Makes me think about chapter leaders…do you realize the potential impact you can have on others just by being you?

Cynthia, what an awesome story! It’s got to feel good to know that you are making a difference in people’s lives. Way cool!
Thanks Dave. We all have the opportunity to make a difference - especially when we live large.
