My Photo is Everywhere at ASAE
Posted on August 18th, 2009 by Cynthia D'Amour
Does this photo look like me?
- Lots of people in Toronto think so.
- People have shook my hand.
- And even asked for my autograph.
One woman was totally ticked.
- Why me?
- Why not her?
- She demanded to know the secret of my selection.
I asked her how she volunteered for ASAE.
- She sputtered.
- Told her I’ve been an active volunteer for over 10 years.
- She didn’t get the connection…
She stormed off.
- Volunteer, smolunteer!
- I giggled.
- (In a good way of course.)
Do you think the photo looks like me?
- I don’t.
- But an awful lot of people do.
- And I support them in their delusion.
Makes me think of chapter leaders…how do you seize the unexpected opportunities that come your way?

No, I didn’t think it looked like you — the hair is too orange, the woman in the photo has brown eyes, and a different skin tone.
However, it did make me think of you because the photo is a smiling redhead : )
Hey Cecilia!
Thanks for knowing me so well. I was fascinated at those who thought it looked like me - and those who did not.
At least she’s a pretty woman…
The only thing in common is the red, though the chick in the picture has a bleached out base, oh and she has a different ethnicity than you.
I see her as a cross between you and Maddie.
Hi Lynn!
Totally agree re it looking more like a mash up between me and Maddie. That’s why I found the reactions to it so funny - and sort of flabberghasting!
Especially the one I blogged about!
