Unbelievable.
Last night James and I went to watch the sunset on the beach.
We’ve been doing it every night.
Have done it every visit.
I’ve got a gazillion sunset photos. (See above.)
Last night I didn’t bring my camera.
Expected the same.
Didn’t seem worth the effort.
I had enough sunset photos.

Today James and I discovered Mazzarro’s Italian Market.
It’s a foodie heaven.
Made-from-scratch food.
We wanted to try one of everything.
They offered unique combinations.
Edamame coleslaw.
Pumpkin ravioli
And chocolate covered bacon.
We decided to try the bacon.
We like chocolate.
Love bacon.
How would the two taste together?
To our surprise it was tasty.
Gourmet chocolate.
Covering scrumptious bacon.

And it was all their fault.
Last night I checked out a new store.
Clothes were very cute.
In my colors.
And great styles for me.
Five sales clerks were in the store.
I was the only potential customer.
I had money in my pocket.
And saw a few things I would look really good in.
Unfortunately, the clerks deemed me not worthy.

And darn near broke my back.
I spent yesterday on dandelion duty.
They infiltrated my garden patch.
And grew beautiful, large flowers.
(I wasn’t home enough to pull them sooner.)
True confession: I enjoyed the sunny blooms.
It’s been a long winter.
Dandelions were the promise of summer.
Their flowers are very pretty - until they go puffy.

My blood curdled.
It was a gorgeous day…
The temperature was delicious.
The sun beckoned seductively.
Did I really need to work the entire Friday afternoon?
And then in a flash, my fantasy crashed.
Men in neon yellow vests invaded my world.
They parked in front of my house.
And brought out the jackhammer.
The noise was deafening.
