My World Had Shrunk

And I didn’t realize it.
Raindrop here.
- I live in a neighborhood with lots of dogs in it.
- But over the winter, many of us stay inside more.
- For months, I only saw the dogs that live across the street.
Recently dogs started walking their owners again.
- I didn’t like seeing them near my yard.
- I made a lot of noise.
- Mom started barking at me!
Mom and Dad took me to stay with cousin Tootie for a week.
- Tootie lives with Grandma and Grandpa.
- I hadn’t seen her in a while.
- We had a blast playing from morning to night.
Tootie helped me remember how much fun I could have with other dogs.
- I guess I shut down my social circle over the winter.
- And got out of the habit of being nice to others.
- I didn’t realize I had done it.
I feel like a new woman, er dog.
- I even made a new friend last night.
- I let Pico step on my yard.
- And didn’t blow a fuse when he drank some of my water!
Wonder who I’ll meet today?
As Mom always says, makes me think of chapter leaders…do your members remember how to welcome new people in your chapter?
