I’ve Got a Time Zone Hangover!

   Need help!

I’ve been traveling for 12 years.

  • Regularly bee-bopping across the country to speak at leadership conferences.
  • But never more than a three-hour time zone difference.

Last week I quickly flipped my body clock the five hours difference to Hawaii Time.

  • I stayed up late.
  • Often laughing about going to bed after the time I would normally get up.
  • “Piece of cake!” crowed the overachiever.

The memory of Hawaiian beauty is fading into the reality of ickiness.

  • I’m awake when I should sleep.
  • And sleep when I should be up.
  • My stomach spins in circle.

Fellow attendees have colds and perhaps flu.

  • Am I sick?
  • Or just hung over thanks to time zone switching?
  • Is this normal?

I have no idea what to do to get back on Eastern Time!

  • Do you know what to do?
  • Oh the pain…
  • I admit I’m a wuss!

I thought I wanted to go to Australia next year - now I’m not so sure.

Makes me think of chapter leaders…how much pain do you have to be in before you ask for help?
