I’ve Got a Time Zone Hangover!
Posted on December 15th, 2008 by Cynthia D'Amour
I’ve been traveling for 12 years.
- Regularly bee-bopping across the country to speak at leadership conferences.
- But never more than a three-hour time zone difference.
Last week I quickly flipped my body clock the five hours difference to Hawaii Time.
- I stayed up late.
- Often laughing about going to bed after the time I would normally get up.
- “Piece of cake!” crowed the overachiever.
The memory of Hawaiian beauty is fading into the reality of ickiness.
- I’m awake when I should sleep.
- And sleep when I should be up.
- My stomach spins in circle.
Fellow attendees have colds and perhaps flu.
- Am I sick?
- Or just hung over thanks to time zone switching?
- Is this normal?
I have no idea what to do to get back on Eastern Time!
- Do you know what to do?
- Oh the pain…
- I admit I’m a wuss!
I thought I wanted to go to Australia next year - now I’m not so sure.
Makes me think of chapter leaders…how much pain do you have to be in before you ask for help?
