Grumbling All the Way

   It’s not very pretty!

I’m having a tough weekend.

  • A wild animal is in our house.
  • It’s stuck between the first and second floors.
  • The noise is like fingernails on chalkboard to me.

My nerves are frayed…

  • I listened to scratching for hours last night.
  • Got up to go to bed.
  • Tripped on space rug.

Long time since I’ve had such shooting pain.

  • Raindrop and James went nuts.
  • I tried to catch my center so I could breathe through it.
  • This morning, the hospital confirmed a lovely sprain.

I’m trying not to worry about the third shoe dropping.

  • Things always happen in threes, right?
  • Does it have to?
  • What if I don’t want to do it that way?

All I know is, my normal sunny disposition is in the tank today.

  • Maybe it’s the pain meds?
  • The sound of another acorn rolling in my ceiling?
  • Or the wildlife guy who insists on taking Sunday off?

I’m stuck in a quagmire I don’t like - and I don’t know how to get out!

Makes me think of chapter leaders…when your chapter gets stuck in pain, how do you lead members forward to a naturally sunny space?

  1. You eliminate the cause of the pain. Get rid of that squirrel!

  2. It’s at the top of my to do list. The pros took today off.

I’m playing ABBA rather loudly right now seeing if that will work. I’ve heard country music can move critters. Don’t have any of that so trying ABBA.

Between that and pain meds, tonight is simply a trip.
