My website has a new ‘do!
My website has needed a makeover for a while.
The content was solid.
The look was outdated.
The overhaul had been a B-list item forever.
Something was always more important.
I didn’t have the energy or inspiration.
Whatever!
Late this summer, a shift was in the air.
Sarah picked up my “slow work.”
The stars were finally in [...]

Shouldn’t be this hard.
I’m hiring an artist to do some work for my upcoming Lazy Leader book.
I had no idea how hard it would be.
I thought I was pretty clear in my description of the work I wanted.
Upbeat and happy cartoon character.
Confident and strong woman.
With short red hair. (Surprised?)
Sort of like The Archies style of characters.
So [...]

Who was that guy?
At tonight’s meeting, the first speaker was introduced as “needing no introduction.”
That would be great - if everyone knew who he was.
No one at my table had seen him before.
His name on the agenda gave us little clue.
A few people across the room nodded their heads - as if they knew him.
Did I sit [...]

And yet the answers were valid.
Today I attended a small volunteer meeting.
We had a specific purpose.
And agenda spelled out.
One of the attendees had something on his mind.
He shared the headline with us.
We both had possible solutions for him.
He quickly moved from very frustrated to very hopeful.
Solutions shared, we moved on to the purpose of the meeting.
At [...]

I’m in Facebook!
Raindrop here. Mom is chillin’ so I thought I’d write in her blog for her.
Plus I’ve got big news.
I finally have a profile in Facebook!
I’ve been bugging Mom about me and Facebook for months.
I’m the Offical Mascot for the Chapter Leaders Playground.
I need to help get the word out.
Facebook is a hip place to be.
So [...]

What do you think?
I just got a dues renewal notice from an association I no longer belong to.
I decided I wasn’t getting enough value.
And did not renew last year.
The renewal notice was simply an invoice for the upcoming year.
No letter.
No benefits.
Just a request for payment.
I couldn’t believe they sent a nonmember just an invoice - and James almost cut [...]

Our thoughts and prayers for safety are with:
The LLSSA gang.
All the clients we’ve worked with.
Their friends and families.
And all the people we’ve yet to meet.
May you stay safe as Gustav comes your way.
Makes me think of chapter leaders…How do you plan to help those who may need it?
