It Was a First Class Ending…
Posted on September 23rd, 2008 by Cynthia D'Amour
Today was a keeper.
- I rocked my program.
- Met some very cool leaders.
- Had a smooth departure to the airport.
Somewhere in the course of the day, I decided I wanted to fly home in first class.
- It just felt right.
- I’m an elite flier so it was possible.
And my being upgraded made no sense.
- Orlando flights are always packed with frequent flyers.
- I’m not the top level - yet.
When I checked in I was put on the wait list for upgrades.
- I didn’t worry.
- Even when my name wasn’t called at the gate.
I boarded the plane.
- Put my stuff up.
- Was just about to sit down.
A woman approached me and asked, “Would you like to sit in first class?”
- Her boyfriend had a seat in first.
- He wanted to sit with her.
- In my seat.
And so I moved up to first class afterall.
- A big smile on my face as I moved against the current to claim my seat.
- Guess my gut was right.
Makes me think of chapter leaders…what do you do when you get a strong gut reaction to an idea?
