I Think She’s Still Mad at Me
Posted on August 28th, 2008 by Raindrop
So I thought I’d help Mom by writing in her blog today.
Raindrop here.
First of all, thank you to everyone who emailed asking how I’m doing.
- I’m fine.
- I did some mystery eating.
- It didn’t stay down.
Mom hates my mystery eating.
- She doesn’t understand.
- It’s my thing.
- It’s like I get blinders on when I see something that might be tasty.
I don’t like getting sick later on.
- It doesn’t always happen.
- But, I can complain when I don’t feel well.
- And Mom gives me more attention - and so do many of you!
Mom talks about chapter leaders who complain about having no volunteers but refuse to change how they do business.
- Maybe they like the payoff of being a martyr?
- How am I any different?
We both keep doing the same thing over and over, saying we want different results - but secretly loving the thrill of doing things our way.
(Don’t tell Mom!)
As Mom says, makes me think of chapter leaders… what kind of “mystery eating” is going on in your chapter?
