Donald Trump vs. Tom Cruise…
Who would you want as a chapter volunteer?
It’s easy to complain about not having enough volunteers…
- They don’t have time.
- They don’t come back.
- They don’t want to play.
When I ask what kind of volunteers people do want, I often get a funny look.
(Someone with a pulse perhaps?)
If you are going to be truly effective, you’ve got to be clear about who will be the best fit for your chapter needs.
It’s sort of like buying a car…
Let’s say I decide I want to buy a hot, red Mustang convertible. What do I start to see every place I drive?
Hot, red, Mustang convertibles.
Why not apply the same principle to recruiting new volunteers?
Who would be your ultimate volunteer?
As a noble experiment and to add some fun to the Chapter Leaders Playground, we just launched the Celebrity Volunteer Challenge.
Each week two celebrites will face off in the competition to be the volunteer most wanted by chapter leaders.
- The winner of this week will face another celebrity the next week.
- Each week, go to the Playground and vote for your preferred volunteer.
Choosing between celebrities can help you get clear about your chapter needs.
Makes me think of chapter leaders…can you describe your red convertible volunteer?
