I Can Hear Her Growling Across the House

Once again, Raindrop, my dog, is pestering James to play with her.
One of Raindrop’s favorite games is to chase an empty Gatorade bottle with a few treats inside it.
- The bottle makes fabulous noise as she chomps on it.
- The treats are her reward for figuring out how to unscrew the top.
And there’s more to the game…
Raindrop and James also play “Kick the Can” with her bottle.
- When she gets it, she runs - growling all the way.
- If he approaches her, she growls even louder.
- If he ignores her, she storms up to him - and tosses her bottle at his feet.
If you didn’t know Raindrop, hearing her play with James, you would think she was a vicious dog - which couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Raindrop’s growling is her way of asking for more attention.
Makes me think of chapter leaders…what noise do your members make when they want more attention?
