I Had Room to Think…

In the muffled snowy silence.
Today, we started 2008 with almost a foot of snow to shovel.
(Great exercise, I know.)
Getting up fairly early, I stepped outside before many were stirring.
Everything was covered with a think blanket of snow.
The resulting quiet was addictive.
Most of the time, I usually run at a crazy, noisy pace.
My computer keys tapping.
