Chocolate Anyone?
We’ve got enough to feed the entire neighborhood - several times!
By 5:30 PM, we finally had the Halloween costume debate settled with Raindrop. She wore a Halloween bandana - and James, well, he dressed to impress.
As the sun started to set, James brought out the candy - Kit Kats and Reese’s Cups - by the hundreds!
Who was going to eat all this candy?
- Raindrop can’t have chocolate.
- My hips shouldn’t have chocolate.
- Last year we had a whopping 15 trick-or-treaters.
And James had a hopeful look on his face.
After an hour of very little traffic, James and a neighbor comiserated about how there used to hundreds of kids - ah, those were the days…
James certainly bought enough candy to support the past!
By 8:30 PM, we did have a bigger crowd than last year. We had 22 trick-or-treaters - and that included the moms!
Ah, the good old days - when a bucket full of leftover chocolate would not have existed!
Makes me think of chapter leaders…are you making decisions based on memories from the good old days in desperate need of updating?

Cynthia - I read your comment on blogher about part time work for professionals. I have my MBA from Penn State University and I just lost my corporate job. I am also 4 months pregnant! So I am staying home with my 2 year old while I ponder my own future. I do not want to goback to work in the rat race, but I will need to after this baby. How do I find anything that would be comparable? And FYI, I would not require health benefits , I get them through my husband
