Not get reconnected.
I got an email today from someone I used to hang out with ten years ago.
She told me this was the second email she had sent inviting me to sign up for a specific online community - and would I please hurry up and join so she could get more points???
I checked my sent mail [...]

At the Jr. League of Ann Arbor!
Last night was the fall kick-off meeting for the Jr. League of Ann Arbor.
This meeting lays the foundation for the year - and updates members on what committees have been working on over the summer.

I almost said yes.
Today I got an invitation in the mail from a local nonprofit.
The front of the invitation was cute.
I liked the band they have playing.
The date might have worked for us.
But, there was no ticket price on the invitation nor the response card - just a bunch of blanks.
Perhaps the group was trying something new where [...]

Who calls this a holiday?
Well, I kept my word and stayed away from work almost the entire holiday weekend…
It felt good.
I guess I needed the break.
With time on my hands, I ventured into our backyard to help James spiffy up the crazy growth.
We had a lot of overgrown bushes, renegade trees, etc. needing attention.
Armed with new garden [...]
