Between you and me, I wasn’t always 100% sure I wanted to attend the awards program last night.
Sure, my friend Jody invited me…
She lives in California and was in Metro Detroit.
She’s the national president of the group.
It was a big night for Jody to share with me.
And yet…
I wouldn’t know anyone there besides Jody.
I was tired from [...]

That’s the vision of Lyn St. James who was presented the Professional Achievement Award tonight by the Women’s Automotive Association International.
(My California-based friend Jody DeVere of AskPatty.com invited me to attend the awards dinner tonight since it was taking place in Metro Detroit -she’s the blonde in the photo).
Lyn St. James is a fascinting woman. She…

It’s driving me crazy!
I’m sitting in an airport hotel in Irvine, CA waiting for a flight.
I’ve got a few hours to go until I fly - and had hoped to catch up on computer work before flying.
Instead, something about this hotel is driving my computer crazy - and keeps causing it to shut down.
The problem [...]

We took the one less traveled.
This weekend we celebrated James’s birthday by going out to dinner at a nice restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor.
Sure, there was a home football game for UM and the place was packed - but James picked it as his favorite place to go - so who was I to disagree?
We turned [...]

Oh what a chip!
A friend of mine from Louisiana recently sent me a package which contained a little surprise - a bag of Zapp’s Who Dat? chips.
Who Dat? What kind of regular flavor is that?
The bag also had a party of musicians dancing across the bottom.
As you may imagine, it did not take us long [...]

Do you ever feel like you are just running on neutral?
I’ve got a lot going on…
The Chapter Leaders Playground
Some cool clients
All sorts of new adventures in landscaping our yard
And yet, I’m in the middle of all of these projects.
I’m not starting anything new or finishing anything old.
Just sort of blando in midst of them all…
Thankfully [...]

But didn’t know where to start.
Today I got my hair cut by my favorite guy. After chatting about my excitement with the Chapter Leaders Playground, my hair stylist shared…
“I’ve been thinking I should volunteer somewhere…”
Knowing he’s been in Ann Arbor for less than a year, I asked what he had in mind.
He told me he [...]

Get real!
Yesterday James and I took Raindrop (our dog) to the Jr. League of Ann Arbor’s annual fall family picnic.
It was a delightful way to spend the afternoon - until the last few minutes before we left…
A woman ran up to us and asked, “Is that a pig on your leash?”
Raindrop a pig? What on [...]
