I Just Found Some Extra Time in My Life!

Team HuddleCould you use an extra hour or two a month?

As a leader in a variety of organizations, I have often had the pleasure (pain) of trying to figure out the best time for the next meeting.

You know how it goes… a seemingly endless stream of emails as you jockey to make sure the key players can all be there - while also including as many as possible of the others who are interested.

UGH!!!

I talked previously about my new involvement on the Athena PowerLink Advisory Panel in Ann Arbor. We had our kick-off meeting two weeks ago and now need to schedule several committee meetings as well as a whole group meeting.

Our Queen of the Coordination, Kasee, sent out our requests for availability using Meeting Wizard.

It is amazing!

An email directed me to go to a website where I indicated my availability for a variety of meeting dates and times.

As answers come in, responses are posted in a color-coded grid.

Once everyone responds, the meetings can be scheduled - all at once. Kasee can easily see when various committee members are available as well as the whole group.

I’ll admit… I’ve been periodically checking to see how everything is working. I don’t really know anyone on the panel well, so I’m also curious to see who the quick (and not so quick) responders are… ;-)

Bottom line, I’m hooked. I’m going to start using Meeting Wizard (it’s free) - and it is going to add hours back to my life. Whoopee!!!

As a chapter leader, you want to always look for ways to streamline the work of your volunteers. What other tools like Meeting Wizard have you found to help your team save time?
